The Helminth Segment is connected to Deimos and Entrati progression and has additional access requirements. Subsuming is not a temporary loan
The subsuming process permanently consumes a qualifying built Warframe in exchange for its prescribed learned ability. Standard non-Prime frames are the usual eligible set; Prime and some special variants are excluded. If a frame is difficult to reacquire, do not sacrifice your only copy before considering whether you still use it.

Evaluate ability replacement as a trade-off
Infusing an ability requires resources and replaces another ability in a configuration. A popular infusion may disappoint if the build lacks enough energy, duration or ability synergy. Compare the lost original ability against the new effect and check any reduced effectiveness or special restrictions. Test the configuration before spending more rare resources.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get my Warframe back after Helminth subsumes it?
Subsuming permanently consumes the eligible built frame; it is not a rental system that automatically returns the original. You may be able to acquire and craft another copy through its normal sources, but that can require time and materials. Check which frame you are choosing and preserve your favorite or heavily invested copy until you are comfortable with the consequences.
Will any Helminth ability work equally well on every Warframe?
No. Infused abilities interact with the receiving frame's Mod stats, available energy, original ability slots and gameplay role. Some effects have restrictions or adjusted strength. Compare what you lose by replacing an existing ability with the benefit you gain, then test in a safe mission before committing further resources or recommending that combination to another player.
